What is Covered
This insurance cover provides indemnity in respect to death of the Insured animal as a result of:-
1.Accidents.
2.Illness and diseases
3.Euthanasia on advise of a qualified veterinary surgeon
Other benefits you can insure for?
1.Transit Risk
Death of insured Dog / pets as a result of collision or overturning of the vehicle carriage on which the Dog/pet are transported.
2.Straying
Indemnity for the loss of insured dog / pet straying out its home and cannot be traced and is presumed dead after a defined period.
3.Theft. Loss of or Death to your dog/pet arising from forcible or violent entry to or exit from your premises
4.Veterinary Treatment
The cost of fees incurred for the Treatment of your Dog/Pet by a qualified veterinary surgeon for accidental injuries.
Animals Covered
Dogs, Cats, Parrots, Guinea fowl and other pets whose identity can be managed by microchipping system of EAKC system.
All insured dogs and pets must be microchipped and registered with East Africa Kennel Club Microchip Database.
What is Not Covered
1.Transit risks of insured Dog/Pet in the event that Insurance is not informed 3 days prior to the transportation.
2.Losses arising from feed or spray poisoning.
3.Pre-existing conditions.
4.Inability for the insured animal to perform the tasks for which it is kept for
5.Vaccination costs
6.Unaccounted disappearance.
Requirements of the Cover
1.Veterinary Certificate of Health completed by qualified veterinary officer
2.Registration certificate/ microchip RFID No. of the dog/pet to be insured.
3.Copy of ID & PIN certificate
